Day 2 Into the Mountains – Journey to Turgen
Today, the landscape transforms dramatically as we drive toward the mighty Kharkhiraa Mountains and Turgen Mountains.
Watch the scenery shift from arid desert to rugged alpine terrain crowned with snow. Along the way, you’ll meet your horses, local horsemen, and the resilient pack camels that will accompany your journey.
As night falls, gather around a campfire beneath a sky blazing with stars—your first night in the wild.
Day 3 Saddle Up – The Adventure Begins
Mount your horse and ride into the dramatic landscapes of the Altai.
Climb steadily along rocky trails into the heart of the mountains, surrounded by endless ridgelines and sweeping views.
Camp beneath towering peaks, where silence and scale redefine your sense of the world.
Day 1 Gateway to the Wild – Fly to Ulaangom
Your adventure begins in Ulaanbaatar, where we transfer you to the airport for a scenic flight west to Ulaangom.
Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed and driven to the shores of Mongolia’s largest lake, Uvs Lake.
Settle into a comfortable ger camp, meet your guide, and take your first breath of the vast, untouched wilderness.
Day 4 Conquering the Zig Zag Pass
Ride through the remote Yamaat Valley—home to elusive wildlife like snow leopards and ibex.
After lunch, challenge yourself with the ascent to Erees Davaa (Zig Zag Pass), reaching nearly 3,000 meters above sea level. The climb is demanding—but the reward is breathtaking.
Descend into the vast Olon Nuur Valley and camp in an open expanse shaped by ancient mountains.
Day 5 Glacier Valley – Land of Ice and Stone
Today’s ride takes you through one of the most spectacular regions of the journey.
Surrounded by the towering peaks of the Kharkhiraa and Turgen ranges, you’ll pass shimmering glacier lakes and vast open terrain.
Camp in a valley once buried beneath massive glaciers—where traces of ancient ice still shape the land.
Follow the contours of the Kharkhiraa Mountains to another stunning glacier lake.
The terrain shifts constantly—rivers carve through canyons, giant rock formations rise from the earth, and patches of green grass soften the rugged wilderness.
Camp beside a river at the foot of the mountains, where the raw power of nature is felt in every direction.
Day 6 Narrow Ridge – Where Nature Roars
Days 7–8 Open Horizons
Ride through wide valleys and gentle passes as the landscape opens up.
With lower altitudes and milder weather, this stretch offers a more relaxed rhythm, perfect for soaking in the beauty of endless horizons and peaceful mountain scenery.
Day 9 Final Ride – Spirit of the Mountains
Your final day in the saddle takes you across semi-desert trails, ideal for a faster, exhilarating ride.
Reach the sacred Boom Mountain, where local herders believe powerful spirits reside.
Celebrate your journey with your horsemen under the open sky; a fitting end to an incredible adventure.
Travel to Olgii, the cultural heart of western Mongolia.
This region is home to the Kazakh people, known for their rich traditions and hospitality. Enjoy free time to relax or explore before settling into a comfortable ger camp.

From high mountain passes and glacier valleys to ancient traditions and nomadic life, this journey is more than a trek—it’s a deep dive into one of the most remote and awe-inspiring places on Earth.
Day 11 Living Traditions – Kazakh Culture
Visit a Kazakh family in Sagsai for a truly immersive cultural experience.
Ride horses alongside local herders, and meet a traditional eagle hunter—one of the most iconic figures of the region.
Try your hand at ancient skills, from hunting demonstrations to intricate embroidery guided by Kazakh women.
This final day blends adventure with human connection—leaving you with memories as rich as the landscapes you’ve crossed.
